Hailing from Tide Head New Brunswick it seems that Cara Adams has been pursuing her dream of becoming a singer since she was old enough to sing in the Campbellton Music Festival. She moved to Toronto ON soon after graduating with her M.Mus. from the University of Victoria eager to break into the music scene and hasn’t looked back since! She is absolutely thrilled to be making her debut in No Change in the Weather understudying the roles of Jade Butler, Peggy O’Brien and Sally Brown. Her diverse performing career spans nearly 30 years and has taken her across the country and into the Caribbean, from singing Antonia in the Tales of Hoffman with the Trinidad Opera Company, to most recently performing in Toronto with some of Canada’s top Women in Musical theatre in Harold Green Jewish Theatre’s Streisand X9.
Recent roles include Lisa in “Body Parts” at the Toronto New Ideas Festival, “A Boy Like That”, and “A Rhapsody in Gershwin” at Harold Green Jewish Theatre. Other recent roles include, Dazzel Women of Musical Theatre, Christine La Fleur at Toronto Street Theater, Celest in “Sunday in the Park with George”, and Mrs. Fezziwig in “A Christmas Carol”. She would like to thank the production team for this amazing opportunity, her friends and family for their amazing support, especially her husband Justin who has never stopped believing in her, and wishes the cast and crew a fantastic tour! “Remember every great dream begins with a dreamer, you have within you the strength, the patience and the passion to reach for the stars” – Harriet Tubman
